Yeah, it’s probably not so important since SqueezeLite now works with PulseAudio (I’m on Linux) and it can do all, even perfect sync. Unbelievable. I’m still impressed after all these years with how much SlimDevices came up at that time, and with Michael keeping it all working and people coming up with great software players!
There was still one use case I’d have needed it for lately … a small party going on at a friend’s place, so of course I connected to my LMS at home for the music selection, used a standard Android player for playout and restreamed to their bluetooth system *duck* hee hee. Is there anything like SqueezeLite for Android? (I currently use Squeezer as remote control on my smartphone. Unfortunately, that doesn’t handle MusicIP mixes and Don’t Stop The Music.)
