First, all requested details:

Database Version: DBD::SQLite 1.58 (sqlite 3.22.0)

Router is Fritz!Box 6591

When trying to connect to any radio station, an error like this is
logged:
> [20-05-17 10:40:06.4953] Slim::Networking::SimpleAsyncHTTP::onError
> (229) Failed to connect to
> http://opml.radiotime.com/NowPlaying.aspx?partnerId=16&id=s158432&username=XXXXX(Error
> on HTTP socket: )

My radio menu has these items: Staff Picks, Local, Music, World, Search,
Tune In URL

For testing, i ran a live image of ubuntu on my laptop. After
installation and first setup, the only item in the radio menu was "Tune
In URL". Manually tuning to a radiotime.com playlist adress gave the
same error.
BUT
When connecting to my mobile hotspot, thus excluding the fritzbox
router, the radio menu immediately got at least 10 more items. I couldnt
try if the steams played because i dont want to connect the players to
another wifi, but it seems like my router is the cause for these
errors.

THEN I SET UP A SSH SOCKS PROXY TO AN AMAZON AWS INSTANCE WITH A SOCKS
-> HTTP PROXY CONVERTER AND SET UP THIS PROXY ON THE LMS. FOLLOWING
RESTART, MORE ITEMS APPEARED ON THE RADIO MENU AND ALL STREAMS WERE
PLAYING FINE.

So the issue seems to be with the fritzbox router.

Any ideas how i could diagnose this further?
