I would have thought that copy-pasting a command would be simpler than editing a file... Guess I was wrong.
There's no harm in running the main script directly from command line BTW. Even if the script doesn't fail the only thing that might happen is that it creates a new prefs file in a different location (as directed by either the defaults or overridden in Custom.pm) and/or starts a scan to create new cache files.
