Thanks. Obviously, you know a lot more about these matters than I do,
but just in case I failed to explain my point (if there is one), I will
try one more time:

If the machine running LMS is connected to the ISP modem/router by
ethernet, and the Orbi router is also connected to the ISP modem/router
by ethernet, doesn't that mean that the Orbi system regards LMS as part
of the internet? Shouldn't the firewall be active on the ISP device, and
not the Orbi?

Doesn't the Orbi need to be set to AP mode?

Again, I realize that I am speaking from a position of ignorance, so
chances are I'm entirely wrong and just don't know enough to understand
why.
