Tried your suggestion had another state. pref file that was empty so deleted that but LMS still not booting. Just sent you a copy of pCp boot log after deleting empty files
boot log isn't too helpful. server.log might be better. I'd suggest you check all files in the prefs folder, incl. sub-folders. They might have been corrupted, too.
