Ah, sorry. macOS like you. I never have any idea when the LMS update dialog will pop-up indicating a download is ready to be installed. This morning, the web interface said there was an update available, I checked via Check for Updates, and yes, there is an update. Hours later, no update dialog has appeared.
It'll only check every 24h. That can be many hours later. Please understand that this is totally good enough for the regular user. But sure, if you want to have the latest and greatest build at all times, then that mechanism is too slow.
Improving the update mechanism admittedly is low on my priority list. In particular on macOS we're likely facing bigger issues, like eg. Apple Silicon support... Any help would greatly be appreciated!
