No apology required. Above I said do not try to change the Qmultimedia access settings without finding out what caused the issue but I perhaps didnt explain this very well. By systematically going through the WinSCP screenshots we have established that group ownership of the new files is the problem LMS wise. You now have a workaround for LMS by recursively changing the permissions on that folder. What we havent identified is what has caused the change in the way files are saved ownership wise. Normally Id expect files that were owned by the administrators group to be readable by LMS. I suspect that either you or an update of some kind may have inadvertently promoted the everyone group from read to read/write for some purpose but I cant be sure. If I were you Id want to be sure that changing everyone group to read only was the answer before I applied the change to every music file I owned. Having thought about this further I think some careful testing is going to be required first.
