The biggest issue (apart from how long it takes to completely rescan my library) is that all play counts are lost every time I have to do trash the library and rescan. Is there anyway to preserve those?
How do you "trash the library"? If you do as I read that, then no. If you trash files, then they're trashed... If you use LMS' "Wipe and rescan" feature play counts should be preserved. Are you using some 3rd party plugin for those stats?
It would be great if this issue could just be fixed tho... do we need a bug bounty system? :\
