AFAIK shoutcast provides its services to promote WinAmp through its website. From their terms of use: | The SHOUTcast directory listings and other content available on and | through this website (collectively, the "Directory") are provided by | Nullsoft for your personal use only. [..] Systematic retrieval of | data or other content [..] without written permission from Nullsoft | is prohibited. Rumors have that they take technical measures to recognize and kick requests which don't seem to come from private users. They seem to be not the only one: a few days ago, Google told me while doing a (manual, of course) search, that they suspect I'm a not a person but a computer =:| and that I'm therefore banned for a while ...
