The disconnect from squeezenetwork on the player settings page from the squeezentwork site does work, but it is pretty flaky. Many times when I disconnect a player then go back to the slimserver web app. It will automatically choose to connect to the squeezenetwork for that player (because that is the state it thinks the player is in?). It will then reconnect the player to the squeezenetwork. The only way to get out of this loop it to choose something other than connect to squeezenetwork very quickly before the slimserver web app redirects you to the squeezenetwork web page. Then you will still be redirected to the squeezenetwork and you will have to disconnect your player again and go back to the slimserver web app once more.
After doing all of this experimenting with the slimserver and the squeezeboxes I am completely stoked and very disappointed at the same time. I have spent alot of time working on a plug in into jinzora (my old media server) to tie into the slimserver cli. There is so much extra functionallity that I have been using in slimserver that I am never goign to be able to integrate into the jinzora player (syncing players, slimdevice pics, etc). It looks like I am going to have to work on customizing the slimserver interface to act more like jinzora rather than vice versa. It looks like all of coding for jinzora was probably wasted time. I will probably be abondoning jinaora all together and moving to slimserver exclusively. Jinzora has some serious interface advantages that i am going to miss. Hopefully it is going to be possible to build an interface that would replicate all of the jinzora functionallity that I have been enjoying for the last few years. I am anxiously awaiting the release of slimserver 7 and I think you guys are going to be seeing much more of me around these forums asking technical questions to figure out how to make dream media server interface.
