I've just purchase a Squeezebox, which I love. I've now started to
re-evaluate how and what format to story my digital music in. Quality,
support and being future proof as the criteria, desk space becoming
less of an issue. Anyway after some investigation I choose FLAC.

In the mean time I'd started to upload my current music to mp3tunes,
having read this thread its appears mp3tunes doesn't support FLAC.

After looking at mp3tunes website it appears they support Ogg. If I
understand correctly it's possible to wrap the FLAC file in an Ogg
container, although the output file has the extension .ogg the codec
used is the same, so you can decode using the native FLAC decoder. I've
not tried yet but does anybody know if this will work on mp3tunes using
the Squeezebox?

I understand streaming these files maybe an issue so an alternation
would be if locker sync program would convert the file on upload to
Vorbis or some other format. At least this would make it possible to
maintain my collection on mp3tunes as I don’t see managing this process
manually as an option.

An advice help would be appreciated
