I had a look on the Napster web page as I was curious about the 15 pound monthly fee. It looked a little to good to be true, as if you stop subscribing all the tracks you have downloaded will stop working. So you are locked in for ever. Unless you pay for each track ontop of the subscription at 79p a track.
That's a really shame, as I was contemplating going for this service. It would be nice to have a service where you pay a monthly subscription and get to download all tracks for free, but then thinking about it, some people would only subscribe for x months until they had downloaded all the music they wanted. And I do like the ability to choose the track/artist name and get to here it, unlike Last fm and deezer, and as I love the Slimdevices I want to run this on it will work well. Shame the service is not cheaper but yet again we live in rip off UK ;-) Deezer works well if you run it direct from a pc. On a plus note, I see if you sign up on the www.napster.co.uk site for 6 months you get a creative 2gb music player. I think I will just trial the streaming service and see how I get on with that to start with. regards Paul Briggs -- brigader ------------------------------------------------------------------------ brigader's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=21830 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=51128 _______________________________________________ squeezenetwork mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/squeezenetwork
