The method I described above is from the Squeezecenter web interface not
the Squeezenetwork web interface.  AFIAK, you can only disconnect a
player from SN via the SN web interface, not make a connection.  The
Squeezecenter web interface can be found on http://xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx:9000
where xxx is the IP address of the box running Squeezecenter.

However, this won't work if you are outside your local network (i.e.
trying to connect the player from work or something).  Is this what you
are trying to do? If so, you may want to think about installing
something like logmein or similar on the box that is running SC.  Then
you can just log in remotely, connect the player to SN via the
Squeezecenter web interface and control via the SN web interface.
