I assume when you say Sling you mean Squeeze, or that might explain why you cannot connect to the Sling network. :) SC7 uses SN in the background for much of it's Internet Radio capabilities, so it isn't that Ligitech wants to steer you away from SN. If you plan on using mostly SC locally anyway then there is no real advantage to just using SN.
