You do have your mysqueezebox.com credentials set in the local
squeezeboxserver ? right .

All apps are configured from mysqueezebox.com but should also work when
you are connected to the local server .

Some people had some mysterious DNS issue with their servers, but i
don't actually know how they fixed it ? Their logs are full with DNS
errors when they are trying to access mysqueezebox.com ?

An experiment when the server is up and running stop and start the
squeezeboxserver application , to see if works better after that.
Some users hav had an issue where sbs is up and running before their
servers networks services, but it's along shot.
