You did two things

The Touch can run a mini version of sbs but you are redirected to
mysbs.com for radio and connected back to "onboard" server when playing
files.

With a real sbs installation you can use the tune in url function and
thus bypassing mysbs.com .

But for music services (like pandora last-fm etc) you better have your
credentials in sbs, it then proxies this "stuff" in the background
against mysbs.com, but player controll is local .

For many music services a local solution is not possible as the sbs
server is open source, so the "secret" parts must hide out at mysbs.com
or in the player firmware (or both).
