Well, you are not understanding how these devices function. SB players are server based network music devices. Absent a network and a server these devices are no smarter than a $5 alarm clock. The two exceptions to this are: Boom: has audio input for MP3/iPod, making the Boom a $300 set of speakers Touch: can function off of USB (no network), but still requires a server Each player can only be connected to one server at a time. For most use cases this means SBS or MySB. If your player is on SBS then MySB will correctly show the player "not connected" because the player is actually connected to SBS. When using SBS think of SBS as the "master player" connected to MySB, sharing it's streams with your players. So, for simplicity.... If you want to use SBS for it's numerous advantages over MySB, then only use MySB to manage your Apps and nothing more. If you want to use MySB and not run a local SBS (and have no access to your local music), then don't use SBS at all. Or, as you now know, switching between SBS and MySB is quite simple for the times you don't want to run your computer. ;) Enjoy the music. -- toby10 ------------------------------------------------------------------------ toby10's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=12553 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=82252 _______________________________________________ squeezenetwork mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/squeezenetwork
