I suspect the issue is just that the Logitech employees reading this
forum might not be the same Logitech employees that have the business
related discussions with Spotify. As long as Andy, Mickey and other
Logitech employees forward our requests to the Logitech
management/business people, I'm sure they will do their best to solve
the problem. Previously, in Slim Devices, I think the relation between
the developers and management were a lot closer than it is today within
Logitech. This isn't that strange, Logitech is a gigantic company
compared to what Slim Devices ever were.
Another issue is that Spotify can probably not do much about it
themselves because they are restricted by the music industry, so what
we really need is to convince the music industry. Obviously this is a
lot harder than just having to convince Logitech and Spotify that it's
a good idea.
For Logitech it might be easier to solve the solution by offering a
discount on a Radio or Touch for users with a Spotify account, that way
they can solve the situation themselves and still get happy customers.
I know some people don't want a Touch/Radio, but I believe most people
would love to upgrade if offered a good deal. Personally, I never want
to go back to the old player models, the Touch/Radio have so much more
potential compared to Classic/Boom.
