Users should also realise that there are limited development resources. It is hard to justify devoting effort to provide a music service which is only available in 7 european countries on "old" hardware which will not generate many new sales and only has a small proportion of the customer base. There is plenty of other SBS development work that needs to be done by the same developers.
I presume the current effort has been justified on the basis that Spotify will launch in the US sometime even though it is now 12 months late. However Logitech are beholden to Spotify who provide the binaries. Logitech do not have the necessary sources for older players and Spotify sees SB users with strange hardware (i.e. Ubicom processor) as a niche market in their overall market and so it seems Logitech have little leverage over Spotify. -- bpa ------------------------------------------------------------------------ bpa's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=1806 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=84671 _______________________________________________ squeezenetwork mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/squeezenetwork
