I've had the same issue, despite several decades of IT experience, haven't been able to figure it out, so gave up.
My girlfriend just solved it in 10 minutes. Auto update firmware was switched off. She turned it back on, connected to MySqueezenetwork, and after a few minutes of updates, it worked fine.
