I did check that the mac address printed on the bottom of the player matched what it said on the info screen. I do vaguely remember that bug from long ago.
I'll try giving them a call tomorrow. I don't like it when a company makes you create an account just to send them an email. Hopefully it can be changed without too much fuss.
