Ok, strange thing, but the jerkiness when scrolling is gone. I hadn't used Wimp for a while...
Could it be there were non-latin characters in a list (eg. Hebrew, Cyrillic etc.)? There is an issue with those, which causes the UI on Touch/Radio to slow to a crawl.
