Wimp app for Squeezebox requires very exact search terms. Spotify handles this better. Also, the Wimp app for Android also handles this much better, so it is possible. Best example: Search for the violinist "Anne Sophie Mutter" in the Squeezebox Wimp app and you get almost nothing. If you search "Anne-Sophie Mutter you get all the relevant results...that's a bit too specific. Speed issue: when searching and also when scrolling through search results in the Wimp plugin I get slightly jerky performance (no smooth scrolling) and unusual pauses when waiting for search results. This does not happen with Spotify or Qobuz. Bug: some albums are not available for streaming. Spotify does not display these in their app. Searching for them comes up empty. Wimp so a find them, but they can't be played (it shows some message about streaminf not allowed) which is rather frustrating. Maybe these search results could be filtered out? About the Catalogue: Wimp has pretty much what Spotify has, at least as far as my searches went. Qobuz has some nasty holes in it's database, at least for the classical and film music repertoire, so it was less interesting for me.
