since Squeezelite can play AAC/ALAC, would it be possible to stream AAC on LMS devices instead of 256kbit mp3? The quality should be far better, even better than Spotify ogg.
Anything's possible - it's software :-). But no, I doubt this will happen. You should be able to use FLAC, though ;-).
