Thanks for clarifying Michael. How much work would it be to allow a third selection, besides mp3 and FLAC? Since it appears to be in your hands...asking is always free... I'm always looking for a way to get away from Spotify since it is only unofficially supported on my setup and they are moving on to Spotify Connect and might kill off the old API...
Mp3 is not bad, but it's miles behind aac/aac+, and then you also only offer 256kbit which is lower than other services. I compared 320k mp3 (Play Music) and 320k ogg (Spotify) and for my taste ogg sounded better, even at the same bitrate... So, if there is any chance of implementing this...I'd be deeply grateful.
