No credentials needed at all for LMS to use MySB.com basic services. 
LMS not having a connection for some time would also indicate a network
issue or NAS settings affecting it's networking capabilities.

Yes, but within LMS not the players.  LMS > Settings > MySB.com, see if
there is any mention of "invalid login" which could indicate either a
mismatched ID/password or that LMS cannot see the internet (MySB.com).

PC/Mac have a whole diagnostic portion within LMS.  Not available on the
NAS version that I know of which would help.  This, in part, is why
Ronnie suggested a PC/Mac install to compare and diagnose.

Tried stopping and restarting just LMS on the NAS?
