Hi, I compiled and built Squid 2.5 now (after knowing that Squid 3.0 is unstable)! I tried running squid from command prompt ! But got the error "FATAL: setrlimit: RLIMIT_NOFILE: (24) Too many open files". This seems to be a known squid problem on Windows, but I cannot find the right answer. Any idea?

No, but as I have said, the current Squid 3.0 Windows version is UNSTABLE, so may be that it cannot work. FYI: I have just checked that with the latest MinGW+MSYS environment, the 3.0 Windows port seems to build correctly and starts from CMD prompt.
