Hi all,
My problem with squidGuard looks like this:
program blocks porn etc. perfectly... but only on one of two subnets.
It passes all for all on the other one. I`ve tried to define users by
IP, but it didnt work. Squid itself works perfectly on both subnets.
The other strange thing is that it took squidGuard a week to start
(!?!?!). I fought to make it work for a month, then left it as it was
alone for a week... and it started blocking. Have no idea what
happened. it also seems to not accept changes in databases and .conf file:
/usr/local/bin/squidGuard -c /etc/squidGuard.conf hangs console until
ctrl+c, but the log says "ready for requests", no emergency mode. All
dbs, logs and conf are property of squid - just like the manual says,
but changes in dbs and conf seem to have no effect. What the hell?
What do I do wrong? Argh, the most important thing is to make this
damn thing work on both subnets. Please help, I`m already deadly
tired because of this... :(
