Thanks for your VERY quick response. It was amazing to see
how this SquirrelMail comunity supports oss ordinary users(mailadmins).
Now back to the issue. I can say that the problem is solved. Unfortunately I can't say what exactly was causing the strange behavior because I tried after your advice with another browser (Netscape Navigator 7) and SM was working perfecly with it. So first I upgraded from from Internet Explorer 5.0 to 5.5 and it didn't work. I went further to version 6.0 and first then it began to behave as it should.
No more problems with logout after trying to send an e-mail in a Compose window. Because I didn't see other people complaining about those versions of Internet Explorer I think that it will remain as a unresolved mistery. A mistery because in order to exclude some misconfiguration in my PC I tested from another PC and it was the same problem from both.
For now I am happy , though I have some other questions about SM . Like the posibility to have a "hardquota"-like function at the higher lever, i.e for a hole virtual domain (Vadmin plugin and Vmailmgr) but I think that this question would be proper to publish in another mailing list or forum.
Thanks again,
/Yuri

My first suggestion would be to try updating to 1.2.10[cvs]. You can
find details on how to get this on the download page at
http://www.squirrelmail.org/download.php and you'll be seeing if you
can get 1.2.10[cvs] from the tarball/zip file, or SM-1_2-STABLE
directly from CVS.
Just out of curiousity, is this a big email you're trying to send, or
just a small email? Can you save an email as draft from the compose
window? How about opening a draft as new, and sending it? What about
forwarding mail?

The only one of these that is actually a cookie is squirrel_language.
The others are related to mailto: links allowing you to set
SquirrelMail up as your default mail client if you wished.

Is it only IE5 you get these issues? Or do you find you get other
browsers doing it too?

Which solutions have you tried? It'll save us going over the ones
you've already tried :)

This is a frustrating situation, I can understand. We'll see what we
can do to get you back on your feet again :)
