I'm not entirely sure, but this sounds like you could have the main
session cookie going astray when compose.php is trying to read it,
which makes it assume you're not logged in (as a guess anyway). As it
hasn't been reported before, I'm going to guess that maybe it was
something at your end, maybe a firewall or the like, but we cannot be
sure. Glad to hear things are working okay now though.

The quota limits would have to be imposed by the IMAP server itself,
or even the operating system depending on what you're using.
SquirrelMail itself doesn't do any space calculations, or limitations,
that is truly up to the IMAP/OS. You might want to take a look at your
IMAP documentation, and see if it can be enforced there, if not, your
OS level. I'd personally try IMAP first, as it is less likely to cause
problems I'd think.
