Have you tried logging in for them on a computer you are 100% sure can login to SquirrelMail? Have you checked the browser for cookie settings? Currently SquirrelMail requires that cookies be turned on in the browser, otherwise the session information won't stay. Would it be possible in future to use proper quotes, ie > in front of the message you are replying to.
