i've run across an odd problem. i'm running 1.4.0 (will be upgrading to current shortly). wide assortment of plugins installed, but the only one that seems possibly relevant is the 'login_auto' plugin.

we have thousands of clients. very few are mac users. we offer four webmail interfaces, so this only comes up infrequently - in fact, i've had a sum total of three reports from three different macintosh users.

browser client used appears to be irrelevant.

the problem: customers using macs report that seemingly at random, when they enter their login/password and hit the login button, they are returned to the login page stating that 'you need login/password to access' or words to that effect. most of the time if they enter login/password again, they get through fine, but sometimes it repeats the behavior a few times before letting them in.

customers have tried with and without the cookie-based login_auto option selected with apparently no difference in behavior.

has anyone else experienced this? if so, did you find a solution? if so, what was it?

thanks in advance.
