Good People,
I am new to squirrelMail. I have just started working in a company where
it is being used so much. I am not worried so much as a user but as an
administrator because I am the network administrator to my company. I
would like to ask if anyone could give me tutorials on working with
squirrel as an administrator.

http://www.squirrelmail.org has a lot of information.

I have searched on the internet but most of
what i find assumes I am good already at the mail system.

Squirrelmail isn't *really* part of the "mail system", it is a web-based IMAP (a more better alternative to pop3) client written in PHP and HTML. To understand squirrelmail, all you really need to do is understand your Webserver(maybe Apache?) and understand your IMAP server(maybe run under xinet.d?).

I am using linux
which I am also just learning.

Good luck. <rhetorical> How did you get a SysAdmin job in a linux shop without linux knowledge? Sounds like a *good* resume. :) </rhetorical>

Regards,
Maganizo
