  Not entirely correct. SM is only dealing with what your IMAP server
  is telling it to deal with. UW-IMAP is known to read all the
  directories in $HOME, which is why we add a default folder prefix of
  mail/ to stop it doing that if you setup SM correctly. I suggest
  reading the uw-imap FAQ as this is documented on there.
