Hi again, Thank you (Tomas) for your input on the Read Receipts. However, and unfortunately, I copied that text to my Host provider, and they still don't know how to change that info. His reply was that he couldn't find a dropdown ... ??
Would it be possible to get a more laymen description of where it is?? I believe, although not 100% reliable, that this is a very important feature to have. Thanks again!! Allow use of receipts true by default in 1.2.6 true by default in 1.4.2 User prefs Options -> General Prefs -> Enable Mail Delivery Notification --__--__-- --__--__-- -- MY ORIGINAL POST -- __--__--__ __--__--__ Hi there, I've scoured everywhere in, out, and across the squirrelmail and SourceForge sites and even Google, so I'm very sorry if this has been asked and answered, or was lying in front of my face in the documentation or FAQs. I'm an end user, and neither my Host nor his developers can find anything related to this either. Issue is this ... I used to use Read Receipts when my host first installed the software. They had a server crash and burn, and the install they did was for an older version of squirrelmail (1.2.6 I believe). I didn't think to check then, but they've since re-upgraded back to 1.4.2, and I can't find the option to turn on the Read Receipts. I've logged a ticket with my host, and I was thinking it might not be enabled in the config (which, as an end user, I've never seen), or perhaps it was a plug-in (which would be weird 'cause the changelogs mention it being introduced 1.2.5, and some fixes in later versions. It eludes us. What are we missing? I'm not sure their server type (believe it's UNIX/Apache), and one of my PHP is 4.0.6 while the other is 4.3.2 (both use same mail system). Not sure what else to add, but I can reply with any additional information that I have. Thanks!!
