There is no need for shouting. The error message isn't displayed allcaps in SquirrelMail. It looks like you didn't configure your imap server correct. Did you tried other imap clients? Did you look at your im ap server log files? I'm also wondering why you are using port 993. There is no need for secure connections if SquirrelMail and BINC imap resists on the same host. You forgot to mention your PHP version. If you insist on using secure connection over port 993 then the minimal required PHP version is 4.3.0.
