I'm glad it appears somebody has been reading the archives ;) Unfortunately there is nothing we can do about your space issue. You'll have to take up the issue with the people that host your email accounts. The SquirrelMail development team, not the squirrelmail-users list, have nothing to do with that. The only suggestion I can come up with is what you've already tried. However there is a possibility that the people running your mail server have configured it to move all expunged mail to the trash folder.
