Do an "ls -a" in the home directory of the user you are logging in, and check for hidden files. Change ownership, and permissions to ensure that the user attempting to login is the owner, and has permissions to update that file. You might also want to check the mail logs, this could be a sign of a full hard disk, or an over disk quota account. > I would produce a bug_report, but the option is not available, even > though it is enabled in the configuration. Have you check under Options, Display Preferences. There is an option to enable it on the menu line.
