Hi
All,
I'm looking for a good length of rope with which to end this frustration... I'm hoping someone in this list can help me out before it comes to that. I'm running SM on a Debian box with UW-IMAP. I've enabled TLS since without it I get "Bare password" problems. With TLS enabled, I get the message, tls://localhost 115 Operation in progress. I'm stuck. If I connect to IMAP with Thunderbird all works fine, with a valid warning about the SSL cert being assigned to www.something and not mail.something. Netstat show that 127.0.0.1:2582 is connected to 127.0.0.1:143 but 993 is open and listening. It looks like SM is trying to use port 143 with TLS. I see no way to enable SSL in the SM config files and no way to tell it to use the right port. I'm using SM v1.4.4. Any suggestions -- other than what length of rope? Thanks. -Dave |
