Use the LTS branch mr12.5. It has the required PIE flags included.

Cheers

Looks like you're trying to build the master branch
    I use https://github.com/sipwise/rtpengine/commits/mr12.4 branch
    on CentOS 8
Probably this should also work for Rocky 8
After you compile this branch, you can build for a more recent
    branch.

It would be hard to share a step-by-step guide as I don't have
one handy and it would be labourious to set up a fresh host
for the express purpose of writing one for you, but I do this
routinely on EL8 and Rocky 8, and have done so dozens of times.

    Tips:

    - You will need EPEL.

    - You will need the CBR repository or whatever has replaced
    PowerTools in Rocky 8.

Otherwise, it's just installing the dependencies until you get
    there.

facing a lot of issues like libraries issues, dependencies
issues, conflict issues etc.  Anyone successfully installed
RTPEngine on RHEL 8.x or Rocky Linux 8.x (Not on CentOS)? If
so, could you please share the documentation step-by-step or
    web URL? Thanks in advance.
