SAN Engineer 10 month open contract—Long Term San Francisco, CA MUST HAVE 3+ years of current experience as a storage engineer. Candidates must have a solid understanding of enterprise-grade storage technologies (RAID, NAS, SAN, iscsi, etc.) and familiarity with Virtualization Technologies. Diverse platform experience preferable, but in-depth knowledge of EMC, Brocade, Cisco and HP are required. Thin provisioning, data de-duplication, replication/snapshot services, encryption are all highly desired experience. Certifications/Licensure SNCP certification or EMC Certification preferred Position Description The Storage Engineer is responsible for all aspects of managing our Storage Area Network (SAN) and Backup environments. Including, but not limited to, installation, monitoring, provisioning, backup & recovery, and tuning. Methodical troubleshooting, clear communications, and attention to detail are essential traits for achieving success in this role. Configuring and maintaining mission-critical systems in a mid-large scale environment. Responsibilities include strategically planning for the growth of the storage infrastructure and proactively researching and implementing new products as needed. LOCATION: MIAMI, FLORIDA Long Term The keys to this position will be their experience with Data Analysis and integration. They need to be business minded Analysts with heavy skills in SQL to be able to pull data from relational databases. They must understand business rules, patterns in data, ability to see errors, and understand how the fields relate to each other and how that data impacts the business. It can be either SQL 2000 or 2005, not as much focus is on the version as before. Strong data integration knowledge Analysis and cleansing of data using Microsoft SqlServer Integration Services Platform 2005, not 2000!! Knowledge of data mart generation from a data warehouse T-SQL and SQL advance knowledge using Microsoft SQL Server 2005 Business Analyst with very strong SQL Background Requirements: 1 year with SSIS 2005 2 years of Data Modeling experience Previous experience in a data warehouse environment is a must.
