Hello all,
the topic of this email says the "gist" of my message. before you get the
flamethrowers out, though, hear me out as to why im asking it to the list.
I have tried sending mail to the proper email address(what is it,
[EMAIL PROTECTED] whatever.. my memory fails temporarily)
to remove my name from the list.
my problem is this: i made the mistake of subscribing with an address of
(for example) [EMAIL PROTECTED]
that is, [EMAIL PROTECTED]
(with the trailing dot)
now, it seems my mua(pine) wont let me send mail to the maillist manager
with a trailing dot, it strips it out. every time i try to unsubscribe, i
get an error saying it has been forwarded to the [EMAIL PROTECTED]
address(because it is not an exact match). One would think that would get
me off the list, fairly easily([EMAIL PROTECTED] is trying to unsubscribe
[EMAIL PROTECTED] from the list, this seems reasonable, right?)
However, all i have gotten is silence, and continued emails from people to
the ssh list.
SO... to quit wasting your bandwidth and summarize,
can someone point me to an mua that will let me send mail with my sender
address consisting of that [EMAIL PROTECTED] address?
OR,
could one of the list maintainers, who hopefully _pays attention_ to the
mailing list, remove [EMAIL PROTECTED] from the mailing list?
I realize that this post will get forwarded to usenet, and that i will
have effectiely added my email address to another 15 spam
lists(conservative estimate)
however, i just want off this dang list.(not that ssh isnt a great
product) can someone please pass me the clue stick here?
