you could try telneting to the SMTP port of your mail gateway &
just fudge the SMTP commands. i use this a lot to get old addresses
off mailing lists.
though if your sysadmins have stopped relaying within your smtp
handler you may find this doesn't work.
e.g.
[557] utility bash$ telnet localhost 25
Trying 127.0.0.1...
Connected to localhost.
Escape character is '^]'.
220 foo.uniq.com.au ESMTP p-sendmail Sendmail is ready at Wed, 16 Feb 2000
13:03:09 +1100 (EST)

354 Enter mail, end with "." on a line by itself

quit
221 foo.uniq.com.au closing connection
Connection closed by foreign host.
other than that you may have to wait for the mailing list
owner to delete you manually from the list.
