I have compiled ssh on a Solaris 2.6 box and the ssh telnet seems to work as does the ssh ftp when not loggin in as root. When I login as root using the ssh telnet everything works, but I cannot login using the secure file transfer as root. I get the following message: File transfer server could not be started or it exited unexpectedly. Exit value 1 was returned. Any ideas? Jim Hall
