Hi,
here's my newbie opinion. For what its worth I have struggled to get to
grips with both SSLeay and Libeay over the last couple of weeks (and I don't
consider myself a complete moron ;-). It is hard for someone starting off to
figure out the minimum requirements for getting an SSL session up and
running. There is no up to date documentation available and its hard to know
if you are using the outdated or newer library calls - I have been going
through code examples dating from 1995 to mid 1997 and the ways of doing
things differ.
Getting to the point, it would seem that having a good introduction to
getting started and man pages to cover the basic calls necessary for the
majority of SSLeay based projects would be an excellent (although long
overdue) start.
It would also be good to have a SIMPLE (with comments) demo program
available (I know I'm asking too much). Although s_server and s_client have
everything (thats their problem) I find them confusing. And finally it would
be great for someone to put together a Windows example (yes - stop laughing,
a few people actually use it). This would certainly allow more people to get
involved in SSLeay.
