Okay, steam fans... Here's a trivia question for you. I'm looking over some Baldwin spec sheets for some early East Broad Top locomotives, and I'm seeing a reference to a "Le Chatelier" valve. Near as I can tell, it has something to do with the Eames vacuum brake system. The notation says "Le Chatelier valve on line of lower gauge cock."
