Hi Keith, Yes, these large headlights are a characteristic feature of Polish narrow gauge locomotives. This is because they used headlights from standard gauge engines. This is a similar practice to say D&RGW which used standard gauge couplers. So you will only see these large headlights on Kp4 (and Px48 and other engines) only in Poland. The same Kp4 in China or in Russia or former Soviet republics will have smaller headlights. A ride on Kp4 would certainly be great, small drivers a nice to see and the engine would not be fast so it would be well suited for small layouts. Maybe some time in the future I will try to have one Kp4 made for me in 1:16 or 1:20 scale but the Px48 has a priority;-)... Best wishes, Zubi
