Dear Lance, I don't think ordinary browsers will use binary XML (EXI) very soon (even DNS may be omitted on IoT devices), but if you're going to make entries of alternate transport, please make room for XMPP over EXI as alternate transport binding. Next version of XEP-0322 will include the idea.
