At this point I shall sound like a broken record, but:

Neither Movim nor Salut à Toi etc need to stop using XHTML embedded
into XMPP (usually, in their case, via Atom).

XEP-0071 describes a specific use-case of styling IM messages by
embedding a small subset of XHTML. That is now deprecated.
