I have a Starmax 3000/200 with a Vimage G3/200. I too have an internal Iomega
but it is the 1g jazz. I had the same problem with mine hanging when I loaded
graphics. I discovered (by trying to reformat the disk) that the drive could
not progress past about 75% on the reformat. I reformatted the same disk on
an external jazz hooked to an Mac IIsi and it formatted all the way to
completion. After contacting Iomega, I determined that the drive was bad and
replaced it with a 2g jaz upgrade. Things are working fine now.
